Reset Your Immune System and Lose Weight With the 5C Reset

First of all, let’s take a look at how these volunteers were selected and reveal the functional medicine test used to assess their health. Then we’ll explain the five core nutrition principles involved in The 5C Reset and the Abundance and Health products used to support their progress.
THE #CFORYOURSELF PILOT GROUP
Selection Criteria: volunteers were selected from all different backgrounds, lifestyles and culinary abilities and assessed according to their BMI, hip to waist circumference ratio and amount of weight gained since the pandemic began. A minimum requirement of at least ½ a stone weight gain was required.
Measurements: to record a baseline from which to determine their progress, at the beginning of The 5C Reset each #CForYourself volunteer provided their weight and measurements for waist, hips, chest, upper arm and upper leg circumferences. Their weight was submitted once a week and measurements were repeated halfway through the trial and at the end of the 10 weeks.
Functional Medicine Tests: Abundance and Health has always been at the forefront of nutrition science and to truly test the efficacy of The 5C Reset, Abundance and Health selected half of the volunteers for a blood test which analysed 37 biomarkers relating to insulin and blood sugar balance, cholesterol and blood fat ratios, level of oxidative stress and inflammation, kidney function, liver function, thyroid function, vitamin and mineral deficiencies and most importantly, full assessment of white blood cells to reveal their immune profile.
Scientific Results: by repeating this incredibly insightful and in-depth blood test at the end of the 10 weeks, Abundance and Health are able to gain an incredible picture as to how this new dietary protocol changed and impacted the health, metabolism and immune systems of the #CForYourself volunteers.
THE 5 CORE PRINCIPLES OF THE 5C RESET
During the course of the 10 weeks the #CForYourself volunteers embraced a new style of eating and living which followed the 5 core principles of The 5C Reset.
CORE PRINCIPLE 1: INTERMITTENT FASTING
Intermittent fasting is becoming increasingly popular as a means of easy weight management. Research indicates that the best results are achieved from 14 to 16 hours of fasting and there is little benefit from extending past 16 hours. The 5C Reset cleverly guides you through 5 days of 16:8 intermittent fasting which is easy to achieve during the week, followed by 2 non-fasting days which allow for a more social weekend.
